Year 4

Here you will find our termly topic sheet, the Year 4 information booklet and copies of Year 4 letters on the Information page. You will also be able to see samples of the children’s work, as well as photos of them taking part in a range of activities in school. You can also meet the Year 4 team, by clicking on the Staff link, so you can put a face to the names your child mentions.

We are on duty on the Key Stage 2 playground after school on Tuesday. Do catch us if you would like a quick chat, or, if you want to talk in more depth, you can also arrange an appointment by sending in a note, or contacting the school office.

Netherhall Cross Country Competition

It was a beautiful day for the Cross Country competition held at Netherhall school on Friday 30th November. Attending the event were runners from years 3 to 6, with separate races for boys and girls. It was wonderful to see the team spirit of Queen Edith, who represented the school brilliantly, and persevered to run the 1500m course. A huge well done to all of the children selected to run and an extra special congratulations must go to Josiah and Emma for bringing back a gold medal!

Micro Bit Programming

Some children have been learning how to program the Micro Bit, which is a small processor with 25 LEDs for a screen and two buttons you can use to control it. Here is a game of Rock Paper Scissors where the players press a button to choose Rock, Paper or Scissors, then show the screen to their opponent.

Year 4

This week some Year 4 children brought their bikes into school and practised their cycling skills with the Bikeability Team. The weather was perfect and they really enjoyed learning how to be safer on their bikes.
